19. You are enough

Listen to the lesson

Episode 19

Danette Haag shares her experiences living through and living with a severe burn injury from a house explosion as a child. A registered nurse, trauma mentor, and speaker, Danette shares how her experience has helped her redefine beauty by bringing purpose to the pain. So instead of being limited by the scars in our lives, we can be empowered by them.

“We may be hurt by different things but the healing process is the same.”

Questions to Ask Yourself:

  1. What scars, physical or figurative, can you explore more and find beauty within?

  2. What metaphors or analogies can you consider eliminating from your dialogue due to their insensitive nature?

  3. When you feel doubt, how can you flip your script and move through it?
